Fruit chain

How Merging Works

In Pome Thrive, fruits are arranged along a fixed chain, ordered from smallest to largest. The fruit wheel icon in the top-left corner of the screen shows the full chain at a glance, so you can always check what you're currently holding and what it becomes next. When two fruits of the same kind, sitting next to each other on the chain, touch, they merge into the next fruit up the chain.

Pome Thrive fruit merge chain reference

The chain starts with a few smaller berry-type fruits, and through repeated merging, moves on toward citrus and stone-fruit types before eventually producing noticeably larger fruit. The exact fruit at each tier is best confirmed against the in-game fruit wheel in real time — we'll keep this page in sync with the game as it's updated.

Strategy

Why the Chain Matters

Plan ahead instead of reacting

Knowing what your current fruit becomes on its next merge helps you decide where to drop it in advance, instead of realizing too late that you picked the wrong spot.

Understand why the box gets stuck

A crowded box is often less about bad luck and more about small, low-tier fruits piling up unmerged. Keeping an eye on the early part of the chain and clearing those first usually frees up space faster.

The key to a higher score

Fruits later in the chain are harder to merge, but worth noticeably more. Understanding the full chain is the first step from casually dropping fruit to actually chasing a new personal best.
